April 17th – “More than a Statistic”
An event put together by The Starfish Connection, where STESA will be speaking and setting a safe and supportive space for survivors to share their stories and process their healing. (INFO)
April 23rd –” Raise the Bar Townhall”
Raise the Bar is a coalition of community members and organizations that is dedicated to ending sexual assault in Isla Vista and Downtown Santa Barbara. We are inviting the community to come share with community leaders, community organizations and local government officials how we can all work together and support each other in ending Sexual Assault in Isla Vista.
April 30th – “TBTN Rally”
STESA be speaking and tabling at the Take Back the Night Rally, with the focus of ending sexual violence in Isla Vista. Creating a culture of consent, party safety and bringing a voice to survivors.
April 30th – “Denim Day”
STESA invites the community to participate in Denim Day by wearing denim and posting pictures on social media and tagging us to raise awareness about the events that inspired Denim Day. It is a day of action to encourage the community to combat victim blaming and educate other about sexual assault, not only in April but year-round.
