In this introductory conversation, CWABG Founder James Joyce III will be joined in conversation by Kamilah Moore (@KamilahVMoore), chair of the California Reparations Task Force; Laura Pitter (@laurapitter), Deputy Director of Human Rights Watch’s US Program and UCSB senior Mekhi Mitchell (@mxkhi) who will share some of his senior research thesis on reparations for the Black Studies Department.
This community conversation will explore the concept of and efforts for reparations for descendants of enslaved Africans.
