Celebrate Black History Month 2022 with “Prioritizing the Preservation of Black Legacies in Santa Barbara,” on January 17. The virtual panel discussion aims to examine the historical and cultural context of Black People in Santa Barbara. A screening of the “Black is Beautiful” documentary and a question and answer session on the current process of developing an African American/Black Historic Context Statement will follow.
