A Seat at the Table / A Fund for a Feminist Future

Invest in a feminist future.

This dedicated SBWPC fund helps feminist women gain the skills, resources and support needed to run for office, seek appointments and lead where public decisions are made.

The purpose

Increase the number of feminist women in elected and appointed office and in other positions where policies affecting women and families are discussed, shaped and enacted.

How the fund supports feminist leadership

FFF resources are used for campaign and public-leadership training and for campaign contributions to feminist women candidates endorsed by SBWPC.

Campaign training

Scholarships help qualified SBWPC women members attend training programs and develop the skills needed to conduct effective political campaigns or pursue appointed public office.

Campaign contributions

The fund also contributes to the campaigns of feminist women candidates who have been endorsed by SBWPC.

01 Training program information

Identify the campaign or public-leadership training program you wish to attend and provide the relevant program details.

02 Current resume

Include a current resume that outlines your education, work, community involvement and political engagement.

03 Personal statement

Address your political goals, commitment to feminist values, what you hope to gain from the training and how you plan to use it.

04 Two letters of recommendation

Recommendations should come from people who can speak to your political engagement, feminist commitment and potential for effective public leadership.

05 Review and possible interview

The President and the chairs of Fund Development and Candidate Development review applications. An interview may be scheduled.
