Serves on Armed Services, Agriculture, and Transportation committees, he helped pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, securing over $1 billion for the Central Coast. He championed the Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary and has secured $50 million for local projects, including public safety and health clinics.

A Marine Corps veteran and first-generation college graduate, Carbajal previously served 12 years on the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors.
